In Rayman Redemption

The Monk is a friendly character encountered in Rayman Redemption. He meets Rayman in Gong Heights and teaches him how to swing on gold rings, which are very similar in appearance to the oversized earrings the Monk is wearing.

Unlike other Monks, he is about as tall as Rayman and appears to be completely limbless, aside possibly for his neck. He later appears again in the Lonely Cliff alongside Rayman's other friends once Mr Dark starts to corrupt the world.

In Rayman ReDesigner

The Monk returns from Rayman Redemption as a decorative character in Rayman ReDesigner, implemented in version 1.3.0. The other Monks holding bongos are also available in the editor, although they were available since the game's first release.
