In Rayman Redemption

Nougat men are peaceful entities introduced in Rayman Redemption, appearing a few times in Candy Château, notably in the Sweet Spot. Their appearance is the same as the blocking nougat from Rayman Designer, but with hands and feet.

They walk freely on platforms and turn back upon meeting an obstacle, but fall when encountering any ledge. While they don't harm Rayman and do not react to him, their tall solid bodies make them into walking obstacles that can block his path and slow down his progress. They're invincible and cannot be interacted with, so Rayman must find a way to get around them.

In Rayman ReDesigner

Nougat men return as enemies from Rayman Redemption, retaining their previous behaviour. They are available through the level editor in the second page of the enemies tab, and can be flipped or linked to some events such as gendoors.

They still fall off from any ledge regardless of the collisions next to them, and can also fall from a level's edge if there are no solid tiles that can block a nougat man's path. However, they're one of the few enemies that react to reactionary collisions placed on their way, turning back as if they were a wall. Collisions can only block nougat men if they're placed no more than three tiles above the ground where they walk, or roughly around the nougat men's hands.

Rayman cannot stand on their top as he'll instead be pushed to their sides. Nougat men still block all projectiles shot by the player, except Bzzit and the robot dinosaur's attacks which can get through if Rayman moves his mounts extremely close to a nougat man. Nougat men do not block enemies, only hindering Rayman and his mounts.

The blocking nougat from Rayman Designer which gave them their appearance made a return in version 1.3.0, looking identical but without the hands and feet.

• In Rayman Redemption's internal files, another version of nougat men's sprite can be found, having hands with the same colors as Rayman's and having the same feet as him, being possibly an early version of their design.
• If a nougat man is stuck between reactionary tiles placed close enough to each other in Rayman ReDesigner, it will constantly turn back in place, their movements coincidentally making them appear to be dancing. This can be used by level designers to turn nougat men into static obstacles and animated decorations.
