In Rayman Redemption
Mr Stone is a giant rock creature and the third major boss in Rayman Redemption. His domain is the Blue Mountains. He is first encountered in Twilight Gulch, where he chases Rayman twice through the level, before eventually leaving.
The final battle takes place in Mr Stone's Peaks, in an area with a giant stone totem. The stone totem acts like a roly-poly toy, and is the only way to harm Mr Stone. If its head is punched, it will swing back and forth before straightening up again, and hit Mr Stone in the process, if he is located in one of the corners of the screen. The totem's head is located too high for Rayman to reach when jumping for the ground, therefore he must take advantage of elements of the environment, such as giant boulders, clouds and pink rings.

In the first phase of the battle, Mr Stone alternates between several attacks - dropping boulders from the sky, which explode into damaging debris, calling in stone dogs, firing pairs of flames, and hopping from side to side, stomping Rayman if successfully landing on him. He may also grab a boulder and hurl it at Rayman. With this attack, he typically holds the boulder for a few seconds. It is then that Rayman must punch the boulder out of Mr Stone's hand, jump on top of it and use it to reach and punch the stone totem's head to harm Mr Stone. Another way to reach the head is to use the cloud which appears on the side of the arena towards the middle of the battle.
After Mr Stone has taken six hits, he loses his arms and torso, and with it the ability for most of his attacks. However, he is still dangerous as he will hop around the arena, attempting to stomp Rayman. Two pink rings will appear at this point. Rayman must swing on them, while avoiding Mr Stone's touch, and punch the totem head so that it hits the boss. If done quickly and with precise timing, it is possible to trap Mr Stone in the corner and hit him with the head repeatedly, depleting all his health quickly to win the battle.

Mr Stone appears again in Mr Dark's Dare, as some of his body parts are used for two forms of the Dark Chimera, first merged with Mr Skops and finally Mr Sax. He can be fought again in the Boss Rush and the True Boss Rush, both as himself and as parts of the Dark Chimera, gaining an orange color scheme reminiscent of the magma men and a very similar fire attack when pounding the ground in the latter challenge.

During the ending, he's seen sitting on a boulder while playing alongside the Musician and his family, holding the super helicopter potion, while the Musician's child and a confused Electoon are perched on his head. Two other Electoons and a stone man are also present at the scene, sleeping.

Achievements
- Defeating Mr Stone grants the Top Stone achievement.
- Completing Mr Stone's Peaks including Mr Stone's boss fight without taking any damage grants the Hard as a Rock achievement.
In Rayman ReDesigner
Mr Stone returns to Rayman ReDesigner as an invincible chaser, being only vulnerable to killdoor mechanisms and falling off the stage. Through the second page of the enemies tab in the level editor, the player can place as many instances of Mr Stone as they like, flip him or link him to events, and give him different behaviors by placing chaser triggers. Mr Stone will react to them accordingly by turning, jumping, stopping, or by attacking. Mr Stone's attack is the two projectiles shot from his torso.
Just as other chasers, Mr Stone starts moving once he spots the player, which occurs whenever Rayman is between about six and fourteen tiles away in front of him. Any physical contact with Mr Stone will push Rayman away, even under the effects of the Invincibility power-up.
Mr Stone will turn back on his own if he encounters any solid tile on his path, and will fall from any platform's edge even if there are no special tiles that can be passed through at their ledge, including the map's borders if they aren't blocked by solid collisions. A gap must be at least five tiles wide to let Mr Stone fall through it, but four are enough to briefly trigger his jumping animation which results in Mr Stone's stomping effect, no matter the height. Mr Stone is the only chaser and one of the only enemies capable of breaking boulders and mossy boulders, instantly destroying them on contact.
His rocks, lava boulders and stone dogs minions are also available as separate objects. His boss theme can be selected as a level's music, including from the music starter object since update 1.4.0. This also includes the chasing drum music from the PlayStation version of Rayman 1.
A face carving of Mr Stone is visible on a rock wall in the Blue Mountains template returning from Rayman Junior and English with Rayman, while a big stone sculpture recreated from a Rayman 1 preview article resembles his head.
In AlteRayman
In AlteRayman Mr Stone is now called Mr. Mosstone, since he got older and is now looking more green and full of moss. He is the final boss of Boggy Mountains. You need to punch the jumping boulder on the mossy stand to hit him whenever you are high enough (by standing on a safe boulder). Mr Mosstone has 4 attack patterns: Summoning 1-3 falling rocks, calling 3 Stone Dogs (or Roccos, as they are called in-game), chasing after Rayman, and summoning a safe boulder. Mr. Mosstone has 8HP.

Trivia
- Despite not being featured in Rayman Redemption's Gameplay Demo, Mr Stone's hud icon can be found in the internal files, and so is the loading screen featuring him.
- Mr Stone is one of the only main bosses who do not speak in Rayman Redemption, just as Moskito and the Menace.
- Two things make the battle with Mr Stone harder in Rayman Redemption versus the original Rayman - the absence of a Big power and two additional hit points that Mr Stone has.
- The second phase of the battle after Mr Stone loses his torso, is new to Rayman Redemption, and did not appear in the original game.
- Once beaten, Mr Stone simply lies in rubble, instead of replacing his own head with the stone totem's and dancing like in Rayman 1.
- When playing in 16:9 aspect ratio, two grey stone walls will frame Mr Stone's fighting area. As most returning bosses, this was done in order to not stretch the original background art and to keep gameplay the same between 4:3 and widescreen formats.
- Mr Stone's hurtbox size in Rayman ReDesigner is taller than his actual body, causing damage and pushing Rayman even above his head.
- In Rayman ReDesigner, if an immobile Mr Stone is standing on any chaser mechanism except the stopping one, he'll perform his chasing animation without actually moving. His movement will resume working properly once he spots Rayman.
- Prior to version 0.1.4 in Rayman ReDesigner, Mr Stone and the other chasers didn't push back Rayman as strongly whenever he touched them, which could result in getting stuck inside these bosses.
- Hundreds of Mr Stone are chasing Rayman in Mr Stone's Armada, a custom Rayman ReDesigner level showcased during Rayman: Alive.
