In Rayman Redemption
Hey! Who are you? Stay out of here! This is my home and I don't want any suspicious people here. Get lost or I'll sting you!—Bzzit, Rayman Redemption
Bzzit returns from Rayman 1 as the first giant mosquito encountered by Rayman, and he is once again much easier to defeat than his counterpart, Moskito. In this unofficial remake, there is no ambiguity between the two mosquitoes as they're indeed separate entities. Similarly to most of the game's characters, Bzzit has no connecting appendages - his head, gloved hands, wings and round feet float independently from the rest of his body. Like all mosquitoes, Bzzit has large round eyes and proboscis, while also having two golden stripes on his purple body. His proboscis and feet and also golden.
Rayman first encounters Bzzit in Anguish Lagoon. He is the second mini-boss, and once he is defeated by Rayman, he collapses and starts sobbing. Rayman stops his victory dance to comfort him, and they quickly become friends, Bzzit helping him cross the rest of Anguish Lagoon by offering a ride on his back. However, the sequence when Bzzit suddenly rushes is absent from Rayman Redemption. Having established their friendship, Bzzit helps Rayman across several other locations throughout the rest of the game similarly to the mosquito levels in Rayman Origins and Rayman Legends, including parts of the Final Showdown. Thus, Rayman will ride Bzzit in optional stages dedicated to him, being Mosquitoes' Sonata, the Highest Peak, Riding the Rainbow, Between a Rock and a Hard Place, Playful Flight, and the Candy Armada.

Bzzit later appears in the Lonely Cliff alongside Rayman's other friends, and Rayman must ride him to reach the End of the World and fight Dark Rayman riding Dark Moskito. Bzzit cannot go further into the End of the World as he says it's too difficult for him to fly there due to the dark tendrils, and thus tells Rayman to take care of himself. Once Rayman escapes from the End of the World while it's being consumed by darkness, Bzzit quickly returns to pick up his friend in the air and brings him back to the ground, seemingly landing somewhere in Band Land.
He's ultimately seen in the ending, carrying Electoons alongside Moskito across an area of the Dream Forest that appears to be Anguish Lagoon, with two Electoons on his back and one hanging from his proboscis, while three are flying around the other mosquito and a large-eyed fish cheerfully leaps out of the water. He is seemingly exhausted from the task, despite Moskito proudly carrying a pile of at least six Electoons on his back, the latter even looking back to encourage the struggling mosquito with a thumbs-up.

Bzzit and Moskito in the ending.
As a boss, Bzzit is always airborne. He attacks by swooping horizontally at Rayman, sometimes at his head level (where Rayman can hit him head on) or near the ground (he can hit him by throwing his fist and then ducking immediately), and by stinging him with his proboscis. He also tries to dodge Rayman's attacks using his small wings, and every time he is hit, he flies high in the air and out of view for a brief moment before attacking. Bzzit also has a new attack in Rayman Redemption, which he did not use in the original game - while hovering in the air above the arena, he moves from side to side and launches energy projectiles down at Rayman.
After befriending Rayman, while carrying him on his back, Bzzit has the ability to shoot energy projectiles straight forward in the direction of their flight path. This attack replaces Rayman's normal punch in these situations, like in the Atari Jaguar version of Rayman 1. Upgrades usually affecting Rayman's fist will power up Bzzit's projectiles instead, increasing the speed of Bzzit's projectiles in three increments or improving their strength. The fist of the speed fist power-up is replaced by a Bzzit projectile pointing upwards, and Bzzit's shots actually turn golden after picking up a golden fist since version 1.1.1. While playing as Bzzit and Rayman, the Photographer will appear without his photoboard and create a checkpoint by photographing them while they fly by, thus making checkpoints skins available in Bzzit's dedicated levels.
Additionally, in some of the flight levels, it is possible to find extra skins which alters Bzzit's appearance. Greenskito, a green and bluish skin of Bzzit can be found in the Highest Peak, while Beeskito, a bee-themed appearance for Bzzit can be acquired in the Candy Armada. Moskito and Dark Moskito's appearances can also be acquired for Bzzit, the first skin being located in Between a Rock and a Hard Place, and the second one showing up briefly during the Dark Rayman boss fight in the End of the World.

Bzzit is also fought in the True Boss Rush, taking the bee-like appearance of his Beeskito skin and gaining stronger attack patterns.

In Rayman ReDesigner
Bzzit returns from Rayman Redemption as a mount for Rayman, being able to be placed from the editor's utility tab, and can also be flipped or linked to events like gendoors. He retains the exact same abilities and most of the specificities he had in Rayman Redemption, although there are no more variations for the speed fist or the Photographer dedicated to him, and all of his skins return and are available by default.
In Rayman ReDesigner, Rayman can mount or dismount Bzzit at any time, and he can be freely controlled through an entire level as there's no more automatic screen scrolling. While he's not mounted, Bzzit does not move and performs his idle animations. Bzzit's access to certain areas can be blocked using vertical or horizontal stopsigns, which features an icon of Bzzit crossed out in red and act as solid obstructions only for him.
If Rayman rides Bzzit while being chased by Dark Rayman, the evil doppelganger will summon Dark Moskito to mimic the movements of both Rayman and Bzzit. However, Dark Rayman cannot attack using Dark Moskito's projectiles in this game.
His boss and riding themes can be selected as a level music or through the music mechanism since version 1.4.0, and a carving on a wooden fence resembling both Bzzit and Moskito is featured in the Caves of Skops template.
Curiously, Moskito's thumbnail in the level editor features Bzzit carrying the giant spiky fruit instead. However, this may not be an oversight but an intentional homage to Moskito having Bzzit's colors while chasing Rayman in Rayman 1.
Trivia
- In the Gameplay Demo of Rayman Redemption, Bzzit couldn't be hit while performing a swooping attack which made the battle much longer. The arena also wasn't as wide due to Rayman Redemption originally not being intended for widescreen format.
- Bzzit's dialogue was different in the Gameplay Demo, being as such: "Hey you! Stay out of here! This is my home and I don't want any bad guys here. I'll make you leave by force!". He also talked to Rayman instead of crying after the battle: "So you're not one of Mr. Dark's allies? You should have said something before I rushed at you! Alright, hop on my back. I'll help you fly across the lagoon." This was mostly likely changed to be more faithful to the original emotional moment between the two characters which highlighted Rayman's good nature.
- The Rayman 1 music playing when Bzzit rushed while Rayman was riding him has been omitted from both Rayman Redemption and Rayman ReDesigner, making it one of the very few original tracks not returning in these two games.
- Ironically, the Dream Forest is the only main world in Rayman Redemption where Bzzit doesn't have a level fully dedicated to him, as he already has a section in Anguish Lagoon.
- Despite the skins being dedicated to Bzzit, none of his alternate appearances have a name based on his own, and instead resemble Moskito's name.
