In Rayman Redemption
Stone men return from Rayman 1 as enemies in Rayman Redemption, found in the Blue Mountains and Dark Legacy. In the unofficial remake, there's only one type of stone men, who throws lava rocks at Rayman which will explode a few bounces, and they do not move, although stone men will always turn to the direction where Rayman is standing no matter how far he is located.
The role of the missing moving stone men types is instead fulfilled by the magma men, who also resemble more the orangey colors of the stone men appearing in Rayman Designer, while the stone heads are based on the Game Boy Color counterparts of the stone men.
Stone men do not take damage if Rayman attacks them during their hurt animation, and must thus wait for it to end before attempting to deal more damage. If Rayman damages them enough, they will crumble to pieces, but will soon put themselves back together after roughly seven seconds and thus cannot be permanently defeated.

They gain a new idle animation in this game, watering the plant on their own head with a stone watering can. The Stoneman checkpoint skin features the body of a stone man on the photoboard, watering some flowers in the Blue Mountains. An angry stone man is also seen in the preview icon of Rock Hike.
In Rayman ReDesigner
Stone men return as enemies from Rayman Redemption, being absolutely identical to their previous appearance, and so does the Stoneman checkpoint skin now unlocked by default. They are available through the editor in the first page of the enemies tab, and can be flipped or assigned events such as gendoors.
They cannot fall from platforms and will instead float in the air if they aren't placed on any ground.
Trivia
- As the preview icon of Rock Hike was featured in Rayman Redemption's Gameplay Demo internal files, this constitutes their only appearance in the demo of the game.
- Strangely, the flowers in the Stoneman checkpoint skin are from the Dream Forest despite Blue Mountains having new flowers introduced in Rayman Redemption.
