In Rayman: The Dark Magician's Reign of Terror
Hunters return from the first Rayman as enemies in Rayman: The Dark Magician's Reign of Terror. They behave very similarly to their original counterparts.

A stronger hunter variant is also introduced in this game starting to appear onwards from the Desert of Despair, referred in the game's files as "Hunter tier 2". Their wear a red outfit with a blue neckerchief and a big sky blue hat concealing either their bigger eye or the smaller one depending on their current action. Their bullets take a red tint and their mallet is more orange, and they're able to shoot them in any angle by aiming directly at Rayman's position.
In Rayman Redemption
Hunters appear in Rayman Redemption, returning from Rayman 1 and behaving as they did originally. However, the hammer bullets shot by the hunters have been changed to a regular bullet with eyes, to establish a connection to the hunters shooting similar missiles in Rayman Origins and Rayman Legends.
Rayman doesn't need to wait for the hunter lowering their weapon before he can punch them, as they can be hit in the head or the feet as long as Rayman's fist doesn't touch their gun.
In Rayman ReDesigner
Hunters return from Rayman Redemption as enemies in Rayman ReDesigner, with the exact same behaviors. They're available in the first page of the enemies tab in the editor, and can be flipped or linked to gendoors and similar mechanisms to achieve different effects. Hunters do not need any tiles to stand on, as they'll simply float in the air and thus cannot fall.
Their bullets are also available as separate obstacles.
