—Shopkeeper, Rayman Redemption
The Shopkeeper is a friendly character encountered in Rayman Redemption. Rayman can visit his shop in Band Land after completing Bongo Hills, and purchase various temporary or permanent power-ups and upgrades, including skins for Rayman and the Photographer's checkpoints.
The Shopkeeper is very similar in appearance to the Photographer, with the same clothes, satchel and hair. Instead of a camera, he holds a scroll, presumably an inventory list. It is not clear whether they are actually the same character.
Trivia
- His scroll is an unused sprite from an early PlayStation demo of the original Rayman.
- His line is a reference to Morshu from Link: The Faces of Evil, a minor character acting as a shopkeeper who gained significant popularity in YouTube Poops and as a meme, greeting Link with an extremely similar quote.
