Who did it?

Mortamon Saturn, one of Rayfanpedia's admins and also known as the guy who made this logo you may have seen on the main page. For some reason, he doesn't like it that much and will make sure that you know it like the grumpy nitpicker he truly is... He still loves plums, tho.

Greetings! My "name" is Mortamon Saturn... but you already knew that if you're on this page, right? :P

You may also know me as "Mortamon Y." or "MortaDolly", and I've been a Rayman enthusiast ever since my early childhood! The first game on Saturn introduced me to video games as a whole (which is why my original username was Rayman Saturn), and they've been one of my greatest passions ever since!

Despite what may be believed, Rayman isn't actually my favourite franchise as it's just a bit behind Dragon Quest and The Legend of Zelda, but it definitely has been the one I give the most love online, both in talks and when making content such as videos!

It has been a great honour for me to be one of the precursors of Rayfanpedia and my contributions to this platform are not stopping any time soon! It all started as a small suggestion on a Rayman Redemption topic, and it evolved into a full-on sister project for RayWiki! I hope that this will be of great use to the members of our beloved community and will give the opportunity for their fan creations to get more well-deserved attention!

I want to express my most sincere thanks to Hunchman801 for making this project possible, to Dr＿st for all his help and great work which allowed Rayfanpedia to come this far, and to Hoodcom and Elite Piranha for their incredible work on its beautifully distinct visual identity. Of course, my thanks to everyone else for their greatly useful contributions both for this wiki and to the community as a whole! This fan wiki wouldn't be a thing without all your fantastic creations!

Creations?

Besides articles and videos, I have created soundtrack mods for Rayman Redemption and various levels in Rayman ReDesigner. As of now, I replaced Rayman Redemption's music with the Atari Jaguar and Rayman Advance OSTs!

As for the levels, this includes a recreation of Rayman GBC and of its ports, and many are still in the works ever since ReDesigner's year of release.

  • Valley of Portals (completed hub world from my scrapped ReDesigner project Rayman 2D - Dreamy Odyssey)
  • The Chessmaster's Castle (level sequel to Rayman Redemption featuring the Chessmaster)
  • Rayman's Winter Holiday (level inspired by the scrapped standalone holiday-themed expansion for Rayman Redemption)
  • And maybe even more...

Note that anything in this list may end up scrapped, renamed, or reworked into completely different projects. They may also take a century to come out depending on my free time... so don't set any particular expectations. In the meanwhile, many of them can be played as prototypes in this Rayman Redistributor bundle.

Trivia?

  • I had the honor of being the first known person to find the REDESIGN and TOBEYOND easter eggs in Rayman Redemption, and same goes for the rdmrt editor secret in Rayman ReDesigner... Yes, that sounds like bragging about something utterly insignificant, but this is the fan wiki, so things like this must be documented. :P
  • My Rayman ReDesigner level Rock'n'Run holds the record for the most views on any Rayman ReDesigner-related video on YouTube, and for being one of the most played user levels with over 1,400 downloads shared across its versions on Mediafire and Google Drive, despite having never been released on Rayman Redistributor as of yet. Honestly, it really didn't deserve it and I'm not even documenting it to "brag" about it as the community has made infinitely better creations since Rayman ReDesigner's release, which are all far more worth your time as a gameplay experience! Nevertheless, thank you so much for all the love you gave to it, you wonderful people!
