The End of the World

The End of the World is the second and final level of Final Showdown, the eighth world in Rayman Redemption. It is the last non-optional level in the game, and finishing it completes the story mode. It consists of six parts.

On a first playthrough, the level is accessed directly from The Lonely Cliff. Rayman mounts Bzzit at the top of the cliff, and they transition directly to part one of The End of the World - an air battle with Dark Rayman on top of Dark Moskito. After successfully defeating their adversaries, Bzzit brings Rayman to the start of part two, where Rayman must dismount, as Bzzit cannot fly through the dark tendrils. Rayman climbs through the maze of tendrils in parts two, three and four, and eventually rides a platform directly into part five - the battle with Darker Mr Dark, who has fused with the Great Protoon and is now more powerful, fast and dangerous, with multiple new attacks.
Rayman defeats Mr Dark, recovers the Great Protoon and finds himself back in part six, which is part four traversed backwards. As the environment collapses around him, Rayman falls down through the sky, where Bzzit catches him, and they both escape the destruction, and witness the world return to normal.
After it is completed, the End of the World can be replayed by accessing it directly from the world map.
The End of the World appears again in the Boss Rush and True Boss Rush, for Darker Mr Dark's battle, and for Dark Rayman's battle in the latter challenge. An additional part taking place in an area related to End of the World appears exclusively in Darkest Mr Dark's battle in the True Boss Rush.
