AlteRayman is a fangame currently in development by a small team led by GubGubCat. It is intended to be a reinterpretation of the original Rayman with attributes of other Rayman games and original content. Unlike many Rayman fangames based on the original Rayman 1 such as Rayman Redemption, all of the visuals are made in vector graphics, meaning that most sprites are in higher definition.

Characters

AlteRayman features characters from most mainline Rayman games, as well as some original and modified ones.

Locations

AlteRayman has seven locations on the world map, including six main ones and one bonus.

Development

AlteRayman started production in early February 2026 on Turbowarp — a heavily modified version of Scratch, thus most of the code is in Javascript. The release date has been delayed multiple times from early March to late May, and there is currently no exact release date to avoid the need for further delays.

Currently, only Game Jolt is planned as the primary distribution platform, with also a possible release on Itch.io.
