Fanon/Chocolate And Coronavirus
Chocolate And Coronavirus is the pilot episode of the cartoon series The Adventures Of Rayman. It sets the stage for the series, along with introducing the characters and settings.
Synopsis
Bored of no new adventure, Rayman and friends go for a hike in the woods, only to find a candy-themed land that turns out to be a trap.
Plot
The series begins with a bird’s eye view of the Glade Of Dreams (reminiscent of the world map from Rayman 2), cutting to a small house (the exterior looks as it appears in Raving Rabbids Tv Party) in Pink Plant Woods. Rayman is sleeping in his bed. He then wakes up, eats his toast and drinks his coffee, waters the plants, plays around on his outdoor gym, and then goes out to hang out with his friends, Globox, Barbara, Chuck, Jack, and Murfy. There is a montage of his friends doing their usual morning routine before they all meet up. Rayman then tells them that they need to go on a fresh adventure, since they haven’t been on one for quite a while.
The next day, some of the teensies in the village seem to have mysteriously disappeared. The 6 friends decide to split up and find them in the Enchanted Forest, only to eventually wander into Candy Chateau. The gang, attracted to the candy, decide to stick around and eat, but in another area, another teensy is eating some jelly beans at the candy house, but is then put into a cage by 2 clowns. He is then put on a conveyor belt that carries him down to Arcane Forest and into Mr Dark’s Castle. Mr Dark maniacally laughs, as his trap is going according to his plan, with Henry and Moe operating the machine. As he explains his plan to steal the Great Protoon, Ales Mansay then tells Mr Dark that the candy castle is starting to be eaten away. Mr Dark, in fury, grabs his binoculars and looks up at the castle, ordering the clowns to capture the 6 friends and bring them to the Dark Kingdom along with the teensies.
Everyone is in cages, stuck inside a room, when Mr Dark appears and sings a song about his plan for the Glade’s fate. Afterwards, Rayman has an idea. He has Murfy tickle the lividstone with the key until he drops it. He then takes the key and frees Rayman, who frees everyone else. The group escape the castle, being chased by the nightmares in the castle, until they get back to the conveyor belt. Rayman presses the reverse button, and they all go back to Candy Chateau. Mr Dark tries to stop them, but as he launches a fireball, he accidentally misses and hits the candy castle, which breaks to pieces as it falls off the cliff (along with the clowns), allowing everyone to escape. Mr Dark, although angry, decides to get his revenge on Rayman by hiring an inspector named Grub to hunt him down, while he schemes his plan for the Glade.
Meanwhile, everyone returns to the forest, where the teensies thank the heroes for the rescue, and go back home to the village. Afterwards, Rayman explains that it was only the beginning of Mr Dark’s plan, and that they finally have a brand new adventure.

Trivia
-The episode’s name is derived from Mr Dark’s voice clips in Rayman Mini console edition where he says “chocolate and coronavirus” backwards in french.
-This episode shares a few similarities to Lac-mac Napping, the pilot to the original short lived show.
-Originally, the pilot was going to involve the gang stopping Mr Dark from finding an artifact in the Cave Of Skops. A similar concept would later be reused in Chaos In The Cavern.
