A Ray Of Hope is the series finale of the cartoon series The Adventures Of Rayman. It focuses on how the characters have evolved over the series as they band together to defeat Mr Dark.
synopsis
In this hilarious final showdown, Rayman and friends must gather the denizens of the Glade to defeat Mr Dark and his minions once and for all.
plot
Continuing from the previous episode once more, nightmares begin to spread across the lands as many of the inhabitants get captured and brought into the darkness of the dark fortress in the sky. Rayman wakes up in the woods after being knocked out and witnesses the chaos of the Darkpocalypse. He then looks, and realizes that his friends are gone. He begins looking around, but he can’t seem to find them. He decides to go back to Polokus for help.
Upon arrival at the Snoring Tree, he is greeted by Murfy, who frantically tells him about the crisis that the Glade is going through. Due to all the chaos, Polokus is having nightmares uncontrollably, which is causing more and more dangerous creatures to appear, the Livid Dead to escape, the nymphs to get captured, the 4 kings to turn back into monsters, and even Andre and Reflux are back. He then reveals that he doesn’t know where the others went, but he does know that most of the Glade’s inhabitants have retreated to Barbaria and are hiding in the castle.
Rayman and Murfy arrive at the kingdom, where they see most of the characters from the series hanging out in the castle. They ask the King where Barbara is, with the King saying that he doesn’t know, but he sent Elysia to go find her. The scene then cuts to Barbara being woken up by Elysia, and the 2 sisters are reunited. They then hear a noise, so they investigate what it was, only to find Bzzit: who is tied to a rope over a campfire, in which Henry and Moe are trying to cook him for dinner. The 2 princesses lunge out and chase them off. They then free Bzzit, but then more lividstones come along, only for them to all be shot down by Moskito, who came to save Bzzit. The 4 of them fly off to the castle.
Once the princesses and mosquitoes return to Barbaria, they meet up with Rayman, telling him that Globox is being held captive by Mr Dark, along with other residents of the Glade. Rayman then tells everyone in the castle that it’s not too late to save the world, and that if they band together, they can defeat Mr Dark once and for all.
This is interrupted when the roof is raised, as the now god-like Mr Dark has found them, due to following Barbara and Elysia to the castle. He then sets the castle on fire, as everyone in it begins to flee and escape on The Captain’s ship. However, the King gets taken before he can get to the ship. Rayman and Barbara run back to save him, but they are stopped by Murfy, who tells them that they must run or they will all die, and that they will rescue the King later.
The scene cuts to Jason, who is running from darktoons. He jumps down a rabbit hole to escape, but then realizes that he jumped into the Bwaaaverns, where a mob of rabbids surround him with plunger guns, as Professor Barranco approaches them. He asks Jason what he’s doing down here, with Jason being relieved to see him, telling him that he needs all the help he can get. He asks the rabbids to help him to save the Glade from imminent destruction. Barranco reluctantly agrees, knowing that there will be no more places to invade if Mr Dark destroys the world.
Upon climbing out of the rabbit hole, Jason meets up with Ly, who tells him about how all the fairies have been captured, and that she is the only one left. She teams up with Jason and the rabbids to stop Mr Dark from causing any more chaos.
Back with Rayman and Barbara, everyone has a meeting at the Sacred Tree after escaping.

-This may be the final episode of The Adventures Of Rayman. However, towards the end, as Rayman is explaining about how there’s “always a new adventure lying around the corner”, Rigatoni is seen taking off his cape, revealing that he is a dragon, which may foreshadow a potential Season 7. Globox also wonders about the origin of the freaks, who they’re lead by, and why they abducted him and Rayman in Killer Rabbids From Outer Space, which may be revealed in a potential Season 7.
-The tree that the team uses to launch themselves into the dark vortex is a reference to the mobile game Angry Birds, in which the birds launch themselves at green pigs using a slingshot.
-In addition, the version of I Will Survive in the credits is mainly based on the version from The Angry Birds Movie.
-Mr Dark’s god-like form would later be reused in Rayman 4: Cloak Of Darkness.
-Being 1 hour long, this is the longest episode of The Adventures Of Rayman.
-The only characters who don’t appear in this episode are Will Byers, Santa, Grogh The Hellish, and Dr Gaff. However, their voices can be heard during the last chorus of the closing credits song, along with the rest of the cast.
