Fanon/Bewitched

Bewitched is the 12th episode of Season 2 of The Adventures Of Rayman, and is the second Halloween special after Night Of The Livid Dead. Sssam The Snake, Begoniax, and Count Razoff all make their debuts.

synopsis

A wicked witch kidnaps Ly in order to use her beauty for a spell.

plot

The episode begins with Begoniax making an elixir using her cauldron while uttering a rhyme. She then tests out the potion on a electoon and a darktoon by feeding them both the potion. It makes the electoon ugly and the darktoon beautiful. The darktoon poses in front of a mirror while the electoon screams and runs away at the sight of its own reflection. Begoniax realizes that she has found the answer to her beauty problem. She flies away on her broomstick in order to find someone to swap looks with.

Meanwhile, back in the village, Ly is hanging out with Rayman and Jason. They then hear a cackle from the sky, which turns out to be coming from Begoniax, who swipes Ly, leading to Rayman and Jason in hot pursuit.

Meanwhile, Inspector Grub is visiting his brother, Count Razoff, where they don’t notice the chase in the background. Rayman and Jason lose Begoniax after a while.

In Begoniax’s house, Ly is tied to a chair. As Begoniax is about to give her the formula, Ly uses a silver lum to grab a nearby pair of scissors in order to chase her around with them, then use it to free herself. She then escapes the house with Begoniax on pursuit.

trivia

-Although there is little connection, this episode shares the same name as a 60’s comedy show.

-Begoniax’s scream before being chased by the scissors is the same one done by Gruntilda in the game Banjo-Kazooie.

-This is the 4th episode to take place entirely at night. The first one is Rabbid Infestation, the second one is Night Of The Livid Dead, and the third one is Circus Freak.

-This is the second time Grub cried, after Rabbid Infestation.
