- This article is about the power-up in Rayman fan games. For the power-up in official games, see Shock Rocket.
The Shock Rocket is one of the combat suits commonly provided by laser-washing powders, specifically a orange one. When it does more than affecting Rayman's appearance, it usually replaces his fist with the ability to shoot a guided missile.
In Rayman Redemption

The Shock Rocket suit is one of the five returning laser-washing powder costumes from Rayman 3 in Rayman Redemption, although it is only a skin which can be purchased in the Shop for 300 Tings. When the skin effects are active, Rayman's fist will take the appearance of a Shock Rocket missile.

In this game, the Shock Rocket's name is spelled Shockrocket.
In Rayman ReDesigner
The Shock Rocket suit returns from Rayman Redemption with the same appearance and altered name, although as a gameplay mechanic instead of a skin. By using a orange laser-washing powder, Rayman will be under the effects of the Shock Rocket suit for a duration of roughly six seconds and a half or infinitely if the can was a golden one. It is also cancelled by going through a curse cleaner or an exit, even with the effects of an infinite can.
In Rayman ReDesigner, the Shock Rocket's missile has a refined design and can be controlled to hit far targets such as switches or enemies. However, the missile expires after a certain duration, even if Rayman was under the effects on an infinite laser-washing powder can. While using the missile, Rayman cannot take any damage, although he can still be pushed by certain enemies such as bosses. When Rayman shoots a missile, the camera follows it instead of him.
Even if it is an explosive projectile, the rocket must be charged before shooting in order to destroy breakable walls, although it has comparable power to the Heavy Metal Fist when hitting enemies even if uncharged. On the other hand, it cannot damage certain enemies that can only be defeated by the Heavy Metal Fist, such as Hoplites.
Unlike the original laser-washing powder from Rayman 3 Hoodlum Havoc, the orange can features a unique symbol, being a missile.
Trivia
- The missile's controls and functions in Rayman ReDesigner are extremely similar to the flying cube from Rayman: The Dark Magician's Reign of Terror, the latter being likely inspired by the original Shock Rocket. However, the Shock Rocket's limited duration makes it impossible to use as a complete substitute to the flying cube.
