The Heavy Metal Fist is one of the combat suits commonly provided by laser-washing powders, specifically a red one. When it does more than affecting Rayman's appearance, it usually provides an extreme strength to his fist, often allowing him to destroy otherwise unbreakable obstacles.
In Rayman Redemption
The Heavy Metal Fist suit is one of the five returning laser-washing powder costumes from Rayman 3 in Rayman Redemption, although it is only a skin which can be purchased in the Shop for 300 Tings. When the skin effects are active, Rayman's fist will take the appearance of a Heavy Metal Fist glove.
In this game, it is referred to as Heavymetal.
In Rayman ReDesigner
The Heavy Metal suit returns from Rayman Redemption with the same appearance and altered name, although as a gameplay mechanic instead of a skin. By using a red laser-washing powder, Rayman will be under the effects of the Heavy Metal Fist suit for a duration of roughly ten seconds and a half or infinitely if the can was a golden one. It is also cancelled by going through a curse cleaner or an exit, even with the effects of an infinite can.
In Rayman ReDesigner, the Heavy Metal fist gains the particles of the speed fist by default, and it is much stronger than with any other power-up. It destroys breakable walls instantly without charging the fist, and the Heavy Metal Fist is the only power-up having enough strength to break the reinforced walls introduced in version 1.0.0, this time requiring a charged punch to remove them. It is also the only power capable of damaging Hoplites, defeating them instantly no matter how Rayman punched them.
Unlike the original laser-washing powder from Rayman 3 Hoodlum Havoc, the red can features a unique symbol, being a fist.
