He learns that Mr Dark has kidnapped some electoons, and goes off to rescue them. When he completes stages 1-3, he sees Mr Dark taking them away, and on the transition between stages 2 and 3, he chases Mr Dark on his mosquito. At the 4th and final stage, he must dodge the attacks while trying to get to each button to punch them and open the way to the top of the tower, free the electoons, and punch Mr Dark off the tower.

He is one of the default playable characters, along with many other characters from his franchise such as Globox, Barbara, teensies, Ly, and Mr Dark. His assists return from the fighting game Mugen, in which Ly is his primary assist and Betilla is his secondary assist.

His super (the final smash equivalent) shows Murfy, Globox, Barbara, Green Teensy, and Goth Teensy beating up the opponent(s), ending with Rayman punching the opponents after charging up his fist. This is a reference to both the opening cutscene from Origins and the ending cutscene from Legends.
