Fanon/Kingdom Of Barbaria

Kingdom Of Barbaria is the 8th episode in Season 1 of The Adventures Of Rayman, taking place in a medieval kingdom.

Synopsis

Barbara is back in her kingdom, but that also means she is heavily guarded and can’t help Rayman protect the Glade. Meanwhile, Grub is also after our friends.

Plot

One day, Rayman and Barbara are training at the house, when they hear trumpets play. They go off to investigate, and to Barbara’s surprise, the residents of her kingdom is standing before them. The king walks up to them, asking Barbara where she’s been, and that they’ve been looking for her ever since she ran away from the kingdom. They take her away, leaving Rayman rushing back to the house. He tells the gang that they need to go save Barbara, and so he and Globox don knight disguises akin to Sir Rayelot and Sir Globrax in order to infiltrate the kingdom.

When they arrive, their outfits help them get past the guards and into the castle. While they walk through, they encounter Grub, who managed to sneak in by scaling the wall. Grub says that they look familiar, but then asks them if they’ve seen Barbara anywhere, and they claim to have seen her somewhere, leading Grub on a wild goose chase. As they are about to reach Barbara’s room, they are informed by the cabinet members that they have been invited to tonight’s royal banquet, and they agree.

At the banquet, the trio decide to claim that they need to go to the restroom as an excuse to leave. On their way out, they encounter Grub again. He tries to arrest Barbara, but the trio decide to fence with him, leading to their helmets falling off, and the king enters, thinking that Rayman, Globox, and Grub are trying to kidnap Barbara, so he throws them into the dungeon, saying that they will execute them tomorrow.

The next morning, the three are about to get their heads cut off, and they put Rayman on the chopping block first, but they fail to behead him because he doesn’t have a neck. Rayman and Globox try to escape and take Barbara with them, with Grub close behind, when they see Mr Dark standing on one of the turrets, and he unleashes a dragon to attack the kingdom. They all run for cover, where Rayman, Globox, and Barbara discuss a plan to save the kingdom, so they get Chuck, Jack, and Murfy to save the citizens. Globox goes up to one of the turrents to use his rain dance to stop the fire, and Rayman and Barbara fight the dragon.

Rayman launches himself from the catapult, where he fights the dragon directly, but falls onto the ground. Barbara tosses her axe at the dragon to distract him as Rayman finds a heavy metal fist combat fatigue and uses it to punch Grunderbite off into the distance. Afterwards, Globox performs his rain dance, making rain fall and put out the fire. Everyone returns to the kingdom and celebrates, giving Rayman and Globox the title of honorary knights.

Afterwards, an enthusiastic teenage boy walks up to Rayman and tells them that he is a huge fan of him and his friends, and asks if he could join them. Rayman allows him to join, but also tells him that he needs some training first. The King then tells the heroes that they are invited any time they like. He then turns to Grub and says “You, not so much,” sending the guards to chase him out of the kingdom, ending the episode.

-Ripto, a character from the Spyro series, cameos when Grunderbite arrives at the castle.

-At the end of the previous episode, Grub was trapped in the Land of the Livid Dead, where he was haunted by undead beings lead by Ray of the Dead. Benoraloha has confirmed that he was trapped in there until the events of this episode.
