A Prison In The Dark is the Season 4 premiere of The Adventures Of Rayman. This is the first episode in which Rogue appears.

synopsis

As Flame delivers the fire mask to Polokus, Betilla and Rayman find themselves trapped in a mysterious prison.

plot

Season 4 begins with Betilla falling out of the portal and into a dark magic cage. She looks to her side and sees Rayman, who is still very weak. Mr Dark walks up to the cage and tells the duo that they are trapped in the Nightmare Veil, a banishment place for nightmares. Now that they are in his trap, there is no way to stop him, and they have lost. He then leaves. Betilla has an idea; she decides to give Rayman his powers back, which makes him get back onto his feet, feeling strong again. The two then devise an escape plan.

Meanwhile, back at the house, Globox and Barbara are searching for Rayman. As they are searching, they see Flame, who has the Mask Of Fire. They are confused since they don’t know who he is and why he’s holding one of the masks, so they go up and ask him if he’s seen Rayman. He tells them that Rayman got trapped in the Nightmare Veil, and that they have to go rescue him.

The three visit Polokus, who tells them that he cannot send them to the Nightmare Veil via a bubble, so he tells them how they can form their own gateway there using the Dreamer’s Door. He teleports them there using one of his bubbles.

Back in the Nightmare Veil, Rayman and Betilla meet a lividstone named Rogue, who wants to redeem himself and help them escape. Betilla seems suspicious of him, but Rayman says that if he is trying to be good, he could be a great benefit to the team. Betilla reluctantly agrees, but still doesn’t trust him.
