The Clock is a friendly character who appears in Rayman: The Dark Magician's Reign of Terror, originally featured in the game over screen of the original Rayman.

In this game, it fills the role of the checkpoints originally fulfilled by the Photographer in Rayman 1, and as such appears in most levels. When Rayman encounters a Clock, it is found sleeping, but wakes up and dances if Rayman punches it, thus activating a checkpoint.

Trivia

• Despite Rayman Redemption being a reimagining of the original Rayman, the Clock does not make any appearance in the game, nor does it appear in Rayman ReDesigner despite both retaining the continue screen. This is most likely due to both games providing an infinite number of continues.
