Fanon/Olympus Oddity

Olympus Oddity is the 2nd episode of season 2 of The Adventures Of Rayman, and Red Devil makes his debut in the this episode. This episode is also an episode where Globox is the protagonist.

synopsis

Mr Dark makes a deal with the Red Devil; if Red Devil gives him the Great Protoon, he will give him Rayman’s soul. Meanwhile, Globox learns of his family line as Olympian Heroes.

plot

The episode begins in the Palace Ruins area of Olympus Maximus, where Mr Dark is walking through the ruins until he gets to a staircase that leads deep underground. He goes down the stairs and into Hell, where he confronts the Red Devil and makes a deal with him. He tells him that is he steals the Great Protoon then he will award him with Rayman’s soul. Red Devil agrees, and flies up into the surface world, where he makes his way to the Heart Of The World.

trivia

-At one point, Rayman challenges the Red Devil to a fiddle-playing contest over the Great Protoon. This is actually a reference to The Devil Went Down To Georgia, a song by The Charlie Daniels Band about the Devil’s failure to steL a young man’s soul through a fiddle-playing contest.
