The Final Challenge is the only level in Dark Legacy - the ninth and final world of Rayman Redemption. It is an optional level that is unlocked after the player has completed story mode, and has broken all 168 Cages in the game.

The level is, by design, noticeably harder than any previous level, although it does not feature a boss battle in the end. It consists of five parts. Parts one through four have Rayman navigate dark, hazardous environments, full of spikes, sharp objects, enemies and traps. Specifically, in part two, Rayman will fly using his Super helicopter, and in part four will escape a flood. In a sharp contrast, the last part of the level is a sunny peaceful glade, with no hazards or enemies, where Rayman will have the opportunity to collect plenty of Tings and 23 Extra lives.

Trivia

• During Rayman Redemption's early production and prior to Dark Magician's Challenge being conceived, Dark Legacy was intended to feature the Dark Magician as a secret boss. This was scrapped due to the Final Challenge being already perceived as very long and difficult. Unused giant dark purple spiky balls can be found in the game's internal files, similar to the dark spiky balls used by Dark Magician during Final Showdown, being possibly intended for the cancelled fight.
