This is the "Desert of Despair"! One of the hottest and dryest deserts known. It's also inhabited by living cacti.
The Desert of Despair is the seventh world of Rayman: The Dark Magician's Reign of Terror. It is located at the eastern edge of the Secret Lab, and is a dangerous mountainous desert full of cacti and subject to blinding sandstorms. Rayman will have to be wary of walking cacti enemies, former bouncing rocks which caught fire, stronger hunters and magic minions, and the mighty and hostile Mr Cactus. It is the first location where Rayman will encounter fake exit signs and magic clouds, making his progress harder.
Trivia
- Betilla implying the Desert of Despair is only one of the hottest and dryest deserts known may be a subtle nod to the Desert of the Knaarens from Rayman 3 Hoodlum Havoc, and possibly to the Desert of Dijiridoos appearing in Rayman Origins and Rayman Legends.
