B.A.D Machine is a titanic machine and the third boss of Rayman: The Dark Magician's Reign of Terror. The system was built by professor Pascal to guard his Techno Towers, and is so massive that's its red glowing eyes are seen from a distance in the background.

In Rayman: The Dark Magician's Reign of Terror

You're really starting to tick me off! That lever will activate a system... My dear friend professor Pascal's latest creation! The "B.A.D Machine"! Mehe he he...

B.A.D Machine first appears in the penultimate section of the level of the same name, its eyes shut in the background. To progress, Rayman has no choice but to awake it by hitting a switch.

The giant machine opens its eyes in the final part, attacking Rayman with cannons from the walls shooting small blue laser projectiles. These weapons are also its only weakness, as B.A.D Machine is in the background and thus cannot be reached. The cannons come in four phases, and destroying all of them in each wave takes away one health point from B.A.D Machine for a total of four health points required to defeat it, despite the health bar displaying twenty of them as usual.

During the first phase, Rayman must destroy six cannons, and a Big Power appears after their destruction. During the second wave, B.A.D Machine deploys four turrets of a new type which moves vertically, and once they're destroyed, an unreachable cannon comes from the ceiling to shoot down at Rayman while following him for about a dozen seconds. The third phase has six moving weapons, and the final part is identical except the ceiling's turret returns to attack Rayman at the same time and only disappears once the remaining machines on the walls are destroyed.

Once defeated, B.A.D Machine closes its eyes and leaves five coins. If B.A.D Machine is challenged again later, the player can skip the battle by pressing the Enter key.
