Though Rayman is shy and unsure about it, he seems to have a crush on {{fanon|Ly}}. Later on, the two start a romantic relationship, having their first kiss in an episode of {{fanon|The Adventures Of Rayman}}, and they get married in a post-credits scene in {{fanon|Rayman 4: Cloak Of Darkness}}. They later have a child in {{fanon|Rayman 5: Revenge Of Dark Rayman}}.

Over the years, Rayman has formed a deep bond with {{fanon|Betilla}} through a mother-son relationship. He cares deeply about her, especially in {{fanon|How Mr Dark Stole Christmas!}}, when he feels sad due to {{fanon|Betilla}} being trapped in the {{fanon|Nihtmare Veil}}, and is overjoyed when he gets her back for Christmas.

Rayman hates him for everything he stands for, especially when he is stealing the {{fanon|Great Protoon}}, captured {{fanon|teensies}} and {{fanon|electoons}}, stealing the {{fanon|ancient eggs}}, wiping out the {{fanon|fairies}}, or anything to ruin the harmony in the {{fanon|Glade Of Dreams}}. Rayman shows some fear of {{fanon|Mr Dark}}, especially when he appears in front of him in the {{fanon|Rayman Adventures console edition}} level {{fanon|Moskito-Back Prizeway}}.
