Dark Rayman is the secondary antagonist in Rayman Quest and is Raymesis’ replacement.

He first appears in the episode Fake Ray, in which he storms the Glade wreaking havoc.

in Benoraloha Bash

He is the secondary assist for Mr Dark. When summoned, he chases and copies the actions of the nearest opponent, dealing damage upon contact.

in Rayman 5: Revenge Of Dark Rayman

He is presumably the main villain, stealing the Great Protoon, capturing teensies and electoons, and wrecking havoc across the Glade Of Dreams.

As it turns out, however, the true villain of the game (and the entire series) is Wendy Weather, the scrapped nymph from Rayman Origins. She tells Dark Rayman that he is of no use anymore, and then murders him by flicking her fingers at him and sending a fireball flying into him. Before blowing up, he tells the heroes to avenge him.

-Him and Raymesis’s chases are later reused in other games by Benoraloha. In Crash and Spyro’s Amazing Adventure, they are chased by Evil Crash from Crash Twinsanity. In Cuphead 2, they are chased by Evil Cuphead and Vile Mugman from the bad ending of the original game.
