This reimagined version of ''{{rw|Rayman 1}}'' features nearly all content from that game and focuses on expanding it as well as refining its gameplay, story and difficulty.
The game belongs to the nonogram puzzle genre and uses both its own and assets of most 2D projects from {{rw|Rayman series|Rayman series}}, with the exception of {{rw|UbiArt|UbiArt}} games.
The game was first announced at [[Rayman: Alive|Rayman Alive 2022]] as part of the [[Rayman Universe|RUNI Showcase]] segment presenting [[Rayman Universe]] projects, which featured a concept trailer. The project's World Premiere took place at [[Rayman: Alive|Rayman Alive 2023]], revealing most of the details of the game.


The graphics remain mostly the same, using assets from ''{{rw|Rayman 1}}'', its ports and prototype versions, as well as spin-offs, such as ''{{rw|Rayman Designer}}''. Additionally, entirely new assets were created in the style of the original game. ''Rayman Redemption'' adds support for widescreen view and modern screen resolutions. While classic 4:3 is supported, the reduced visible range in this mode makes some locations awkward.
The first public demo version has been announced for early 2024, but its release has been postponed, and was instead released for [[Rayman: Alive|Rayman Alive 2025]], celebrating the 30th anniversary of ''{{rw|Rayman (series)|Rayman}}''.

Rayman Lum'o'Grams is a puzzle fan game for PCs running Microsoft Windows currently in development by Rayman Universe, or RUNI.
