The '''Desert of Despair''' is the seventh world of ''[[Rayman: The Dark Magician's Reign of Terror]]'', containing the levels [[Fun in the Sun]], [[Thick Storm]] and [[Angry Cacti]]. It is located at the eastern edge of the [[Secret Lab]], and is a dangerous mountainous desert full of cacti and subject to blinding sandstorms.

[[Rayman]] will have to be wary of ~~walking~~ [[cacti]] enemies, {{rw|Bouncing rock|former}} [[bouncing rock]]s which caught fire, stronger [[hunter]]s and [[~~magic minion~~]]s, and the mighty and hostile [[Mr Cactus]]. It is the first location where [[Rayman]] will encounter [[Exit sign|fake exit signs]] and [[Cloud|magic clouds]], making his progress harder.
