The player must collect 10 of them to summon the [[Lumar]], a big luminous orb with similarities to Yellow Lums, being possibly composed of many of them. Using the [[Lumar]] to unleash the [[Lumar|Lumar Eclipse]] then allows the player to escape from an exit.

The Yellow Lums do not appear directly in ''[[Rayman ReDesigner]]'', but they can still be found in the game's internal files and the decorative [[Light Lum]]s do return with the same functions.

If [[Rayman]] reaches the exit door in [[Level 4 (The Spooky Raymansion 3)|Level 4]] without the three Yellow Lums, an ending screen will pop up and display what Lums are currently collected in each level or not, hinting at their role in unlocking [[Level 5 (The Spooky Raymansion 3)|the final level]].

It is not necessary to complete an entire level again once a Yellow Lum has been collected, as the player will keep it by exiting to the title screen.
